The 1st Job Fair for People with Disabilities in Olsztyn
March 13.2024 we participated in the 1st Job Fair for People with Disabilities in Olsztyn organized by the Activation Foundation (Fundacja Aktywizacja).
Employers from the local labor market and representatives of institutions dealing with professional and social activation took part.
The fair attracted a lot of interest from the unemployed actively looking for a job (with a disability).

Selected institutions
The Substantive Team at the initial stage of the project selected institutions that, with their knowledge, experience and range of activities, will contribute to the most effective implementation of the project's objectives.
Institutions were selected for surveys, interviews and study visits according to the following criteria:

- scope of activity (services offered to graduates, unemployed people) including people with disabilities
- active cooperation with disadvantaged people, people with disabilities,
- long-standing knowledge and experience
- developed effective procedures for activation of people entering the labor market (good practices)
ITALY:
- Agenzia Piemonte Lavoro: it is a pubblic institution, working at regional level, and it is specifically in charge of the job policies. Apl brings the knowledge about the main national laws, programs and services related to the job inclusion. As a public service they are in touch with a very wide target of didabled people as so can represent problems, and opportunities related at job placement services adressed to different targets of disabled people (different ages, stydy title, economic condition, skills level and backgrou nd of expertise)
- Differenza social cooperative: is a private ngo, in the form od social cooperative, the president is a disabled person, so he is aware about inclusion issues related to disabilit. Differenza managed a project held in some vet schools and focused on the provision of skills empowerment, information and guidance services to disabled students or recent gradutaed in vet schools.
- We4job: it is a network of Vet schools in noth of Italy. This network of school is the first activating placement services in high and Vet school system. This job services are accreditated from the Piedmont region and can act as a public job service. Job placement services offered within the we4job network are also addressed to the disabled target
- Passalacqua Barracks: this is a public youth centre where many social innovation projects are held toward social inclusion and soft skills empowerment, with impacts also toward enhanced chances to enter in the labor market.

POLAND:
- Municipal Labor Office, Olsztyn - is engaged in, among other things, job placement, referral to internships, training, support for raising qualifications or vocational counseling throughout the province consisting of assistance by an employee of the labor office in solving professional problems of those who apply for such assistance to the office.
- Complex of Educational Institutions, Olsztyn - The goal of ZPE in Olsztyn is to create optimal conditions for all students to participate fully in education, provide them with a high level of rehabilitation interventions and help them become independent, among other things, by organizing vocational internships.
- Warmińsko-Mazurski Sejmik Osób Niepełnosprawnych, Olsztyn - an association of associations and foundations that seeks to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities and strengthen the standards of cooperation. The purpose of the Activity Center (within WMSON) is to support people with disabilities in achieving greater independence, in the more effective functioning of member organizations from the province of Warmia and Mazury, on the basis of partnership and intersectoral implementation of activities related to social and professional activity.
- Center for Human Development, Psychologist Cezary Buszko Olsztyn (since 2017 also cooperating as a Psychologist with WMSON) - offers assistance to disadvantaged people and people with disabilities in terms of further education, professional development, courses and vocational training.
- Ochotniczy Hufiec Pracy O/Pasłęk, O/Elbląg - Ochotnicze Hufce Pracy (OHP) is a nationwide state institution supervised by the Minister of Labor. The main task of OHP is the organization of comprehensive support for young people in their social and professional activation, including: upbringing, vocational education, vocational training, planning an individual vocational-educational path and employment.

A European project to discover good practices in the post-diploma placement of disabled students
Facility job project, the a small scale partnersip promoted by Inspire conuslting (Poland) and Aurive (Italy) is focused on the exchange of Methods and Practices Toward Post Diploma Work Placement of Disadvantaged Learners. The project is funded under the Erasmus + Programme 2014-2021- Erasmus+ vocational education and training (VET).
The project actions will alllow the cooperating partners to exchange of best practices and strategies for enhancing disadvantaged vocational students employability. The project wil enable the partner to develp some innovative actions aimed at confronting and exchanging a set of tools aimed to improve the the quality of work placement services in vocational training, trough better internship placements and work based learning chances. Quality in vocational training will be developed also by fostering a stronger connection between vocational schools and business companies from the industrial field.
The collection of good practices will lead to the creation of a publication that will present the best projects and services activated between Italy and Poland towards increasing the prospects for socio-employment integration of disabled students leaving vocational training courses. The publication provides useful indications for increasing the inclusive value of post-graduate guidance and placement services, making them more capable of contributing to the socio-occupational integration of disabled students.
Specifically, the publication will contains information that will help operators in the non-Vet sector and social policies to improve the quality of the social-work inclusion programs offered, finding the best way to meet the personal development needs of disabled /disadvantaged new graduates leaving training courses professional technician and to connect them to the needs of companies in the reference labor market.
The publication will therefore represent a work resource and skills update available to socio-educational operators in the sectors of vocational training, labor services, and social policies. To learn more about the project please visit the project web site:
